Multi-Agent Systems (MAS) for climate resilient land use
Project Description:
This project is designed to develop climate resilient land use approaches based on insights derived from MAS simulations. The objective will be achieved by running simulation scenarios which allow us to more accurately model and understand the complex communications and interactions impacting land use decisions in the context of climate change adaptation and mitigation.
By combining land use science, climate change science, and resilience science, along with methodologies including Multi-Agent Systems (MAS), Difference-in-Differences (DID), and multi-objective spatial modeling, this project aims to answer one prominent question: How do human interactions and communications that underpin climate adaptation and mitigation affect land use changes?
Through answering the main question, this project will contribute to the understand of human behaviors of adaptation and mitigation in land use sectors. By analyzing these behaviors and their subsequent effects on land use changes, we can understand how these changes manifest in real-world scenarios.
Key Keywords: climate resilience; multi-agent systems; land use change
